Why it appears:

• Wet, warm conditions
• Overhead watering
• Infected seeds or plant debris
• Humid, poorly ventilated areas
• Frequent rain or splashback

Prevention tips:

• Use disease-free seeds
• Avoid overhead watering
• Prune for airflow
• Rotate crops
• Remove and destroy infected plant parts
